Double elimination, best-of-seven, seeded by the round robin. It ran from 2pm to 1am. The championship final and its tiebreaker were both shortened to best-of-five on the night because the LAN was running so late -- the post-mortem records the decision, and Mike's recollection (2026-08-18) is that the final itself was played as the full best-of-seven and only the tiebreaker was cut. One Eye's team lost game 7 of the winners final, came back through the losers bracket, swept the championship final and took the tiebreaker that forced.

Teams

Auctioned rather than drafted, on the Sunday before the LAN. The top five of the pre-LAN leaderboard captained, each with $40 and a $1 minimum bid, and bought three players apiece. Nominations snaked from the first seed down and back -- ImFrawsty, One Eye, An Army of Kiel, Hateful Hermes, Kieling Frenzy, then the same five in reverse, then down again -- except at the very end, where the two captains whose rosters were already full had nothing left to nominate for and the last two nominations fell to the two who were still short. APrince125 went for the most at $26 and publicopinion. for the least at $1; only An Army of Kiel spent the whole $40.
