Four teams, every team playing every other three times over three rounds, two matchups at a time in two lobbies. All three games of a matchup were played whatever the result. Places are game wins across the nine: Lando's team 8-1, oNeEye Xx's team 6-3, McPizzaParty's team 3-6, CaptKbone's team 1-8, with nothing left level and no tiebreak needed. That order seeded the double elimination, and it turned the pre-LAN leaderboard's own order upside down at the top: the board's third seed came out first and its first seed third. The round robin's opening flag game was started and abandoned after eleven seconds; it is recorded as the start of the game it was, which restarted three minutes later.

Auctioned. The top four of the final pre-LAN leaderboard captained, each with $40 and a $1 minimum bid, and bought three players apiece; nominations snaked from the first seed down. Joe Monroe ran the auction as a neutral party and the post-mortem is scathing about it -- late, unprepared, talking over people, not hearing bids, not knowing budgets -- which is where the LAN's later rules about nomination clocks, bid clocks and muting non-captains come from. Three of the four spent to within a few dollars of the budget; oNeEye Xx finished with $4 unspent.
